<conf-date> Conference Date (in a citation)

Within a citation (such as a <mixed-citation> or an <element-citation>), the date(s) on which a conference was held.

Best Practice

Conference dates in standards bibliography can be stored in one of two forms: as a single date (“May 1906”), or as the first day and last day of the conference. Either form can be stored in the <conf-date> element. Dates that originate as separate first and last elements in the source should be combined.
