Format of Publication

Format or medium of the document (for example, “print”). This element has several uses:
  • to describe the format/medium of a standards document for a publication date or other lifecycle date (<release-date>) or for an organization-specific lifecycle date (<meta-date>);
  • to name the format/medium of a document being cited as part of a bibliographic reference; or
  • to name the format/medium for an ISBN or similar identifier.
