<annex-type>

Type of Annex

This element acts as a flag whose content can be both interrogated and displayed. It answers the question, “Is this Annex (<app>) normative or informative (non-normative)?”. The element content is expected to be “(normative)” or “(informative)”.

Remarks

The element content is expected to be “(normative)” or “(informative)”; however, other values may be needed in contexts this work does not anticipate.
Strictly speaking, this element is redundant with the appendix (<app>) element’s @content-type attribute, whose expected values are “norm-annex” and “inform-annex”. The description of the annex type in this element is intended for display to the end user, so the element should contain the text that will print/display in the formatted standard.
